About
Software engineering,
run as a defined process.
VortexCones designs and builds custom SaaS platforms and business applications for founders and established businesses — scoped around the actual problem, not a template.

Founder & Engineer
VortexCones
Rakesh spent twenty years in production software engineering across banking, logistics, real estate, and professional services — watching the same pattern repeat: a process that outgrew the spreadsheet it ran on, a workflow that only existed as one person's memory, software that almost fit but not quite.
VortexCones exists to build the software that actually fits — defined with the client, scoped before anything is built, and handed over as something they own outright.
“My work is complete when your business runs better without your involvement in the parts that never needed it.”
— RAKESH SIVAN · FOUNDER
How We Think About The Work
Three principles behind how we build.
Scope before code
Every engagement starts with the business problem, not the technology. We agree on scope, deliverables, and acceptance criteria before writing the first line — so "done" is a specific, checkable thing.
The right architecture, not the default one
Multi-tenant when a product needs to serve many customers from one deployment, single-tenant when it doesn't. The decision follows the requirements, not a template we reach for by habit.
Ownership on handover
Source code, documentation, and deployment are handed over the way the agreement specified. No ongoing dependency you didn't ask for.
